Save the date for the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Recreation Summit November 3, 2026!

Hosted by Travel Columbia Valley and College of the Rockies, the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Recreation Summit will bring together recreation organizations, businesses, Indigenous partners, government, volunteers and outdoor enthusiasts to connect, share ideas and explore the future of outdoor recreation in the Kootenays.

Key topics and goals of the forum include:

• Explore how outdoor recreation can contribute to healthy communities, economic development, environmental stewardship and a strong quality of life across the Kootenays.
• Connect with others working in outdoor recreation and hear about innovative ideas, successful initiatives and opportunities from across out region and British Columbia.
• Help shape a shared Kootenay recreation roadmap by identifying regional priorities and opportunities for collaboration.
