2025 Highlights Report

This report provides a snapshot of visitor data collected from a range of defined locations across the Columbia Valley. By sampling visitors at key sites, we gain valuable insights into where our visitors come from, as well as their demographic and psychographic profiles. This information helps us better understand our audiences and make informed marketing and destination management decisions.

2025-26 Kootenay Rockies Snapshot

Destination BC has released the 2025 BC Resident Perceptions of Tourism Snapshot Series, offering a closer look at how residents across the province view tourism's economic, social, cultural, environmental, employment and Indigenous impacts at the provincial, regional, sub-regional and community levels.

Regional Profiles summarize key tourism indicators, and provide a general overview for each of the province’s six tourism regions. These publications offer the most recent available data including visitor volume, traveller characteristics, seasonal travel, spending patterns, tourism’s economic contribution, considerations for growth, and more.
